- Besom is a kind of a shrub which is used for curing pains. Wild sage is a plant which is supposed to cure Bronchitis. There is a place called Ballycumusk, and in this land there is a holy well at which people used to be cured long ago. This well was supposed to cure any disease. If any person was cured he should leave something after him.
