- The games which I play usually are:- "Hide and Seek" "Fox and Goose" "Skipping" "Blind Man's Buff" "High Ranks" "Colours" "London Bridges" "Hunting" "Gobs" "Hot Hands" "Short Castle" "Paymaster, Judge, Finder, and Thief" "Thimble Game" "Chip Chop Cherry O" "King of the Castle" "Four Corner fool"
In Autumn I amuse myself by picking blackberries and nuts and sloes, and all the other fruit such as apples and currants and eating gooseberries and grapes. In
In Winter I amuse myself by making bird baskets and setting them, and making and setting snares for rabbits.
In Spring I amuse myself by looking for birds' nests, and making Daisy Chains.
In Summer I amuse myself by picking hurts. Some children also love to sit around the fire on a winter's night telling fairy stories or playing cards, or reading story books. On a fine day I would like to ramble around the fields picking wild flowers.- Collector
