    the doorway they saw a strange young woman beside them. Dómhnal Crón called her, in a joking way, to come and give him a hand. "Maybe" said he "your children will be coming to this school yet." She made no answer, but she went away, they didn't know where. Something happened that made them nervous about taking the stones, so they brought back whatever they had taken. Soon after, however, some calamity overtook the three men. Dómhnal Crón got paralysed, and after a long sickness he "came on" something, but he never properly recovered. Dan Bárúil got queer, and I don't know about the third man. Something happened him too. The people said this was the result of [?] the lios.
    The was about seventy years ago. I heard the story from the old people.
