This is a story which is spoken of by the people of Bandon.

This is a story which is spoken of by the people of Bandon. It is said that a priest was murdered going down this lane for water one night. It is over fifty years since the crime was committed. This story of the murder was told by the old people first. When anybody would go down the lane for water they would get light from the priest. Then the priest would take the water up the lane and disappear. The water in the well is the best in Bandon. In a stream running from the well wounds have been cured.
