"Carraig Oisín" (the rock of Oisín) a high rock down the "World's End" road, has an almost unbelievable tale attached to it. A giant named Oisín (probably son of Fionn Mac Cumail) is supposed to have sat upon the rock and bathed his feet in the sea. He certainly must have been a giant to reach such a distance. The rock itself is about 50 feet high, and then underneath lies the road about 20 feet broad, which his legs would have to bridge, before reaching the water. On the opposite side of the World's End road lies the "Five Stones" the old tradition being that, the giants threw the stones across. Not a bad throw certainly, just about a quarter of a mile.
