    ends in to the middle of the "foir", and the grain placed on top of them. The sugans were made longer that the circumference of the "foir".
    From ten to twenty sacks of grain were put into each "foir", and then the top was crowned with straw and brought to a point in the centre. To make it more secure, it was sometimes thatched, and bound with lighter sugans.
