- Fionn Mac Cumhail lived for some time on Suidhe Finn mountain, Kilcorney.
It is said the reason the river Blackwater got its name was that Fionn washed his feet in it and the bogstuff of Suidhe Finn blackened the water.
There were very large stones on the mountain. One day Fionn saw invaders coming towards him and he flung one of the stones three miles and killed three invaders. They were buried in Mr. Riordan's field near the Kerryman's Table. The headstones can be seen there yet.
The print of Fionn's fingers is to be seen in the big stones that he threw.
Some of the spears of the Fianna are buried on Togher Mountain.- Informant
