  1. There was a Hedge school at James Coleman's place wh ich then belonged to Dan Collins. The "Black Master" that taught there. I do not know what his name was.

  2. Long ago there was a hedge school near Glashakinleen bridge. It was a small thatched house. The teacher was Mrs Lane. After a time when the National School was built there she was appointed teacher.
