    and had a good morning's work done before breakfast which was at nine o'clock.
    Piggins were used as cups in times gone by. They were hung in settles which are to be seen at present.
    Long ago people used steal a goose or a hen and cook in a lime kiln because meat was a rare thing in those days. Meat was eaten every Sunday only by the people who could afford it and those who were too poor to have it used go to their neighbour.
