I'm back again in Glanworth where the Funcheon waters flow...

    (continued from previous page)
And oftimes in that Southern clime
Where I spent many a year
I oft thought of my country's wrongs and wept a silent tear
Here in Glanworth too we have specimens of that same
Presented by the tyrant Cromwell, I think that was his name
He stood on Labbycally's Hill and fired a cannon ball
And slew our white-robed Dominicans within their cloistered wall
And now we have old Bess's breed, a rapping at our doors
To join up as auxiliaries and learn to form fours
But if they come to Glanworth Town, our lads for to decoy
We'll give them strong across the Funcheon what they got at Fontenoy.
