“In the townland of Caherdrinnagh in the parish of Mitchelstown Co. Cork...”
In the townland of Caherdrinnagh in the parish of Mitchelstown, Co Cork one crock of gold was supposed to be buried by a man commonly known as Brennan on the Moor. He was supposed to have robbed this gold from the Dublin Mail Coach. He buried it because the British soldiers were close behind him. The field in which it is buried is owned by Mr. Condon. It is situated mid-way between Kilworth and Mitchelstown. Brennan on the Moor lived in the Kilworth mountains and is buried in Kilcrumper cemetery.- Bailitheoir
