    When he came first, he asked for some alms. My mother made tea for him and when he had finished a good meal he sat down by the fire. He was telling all the news of what he heard and saw that day. He was very friendly
    Then he said made a bed of straw and hay in the shed and slept there. Very early in the morning he washed himself, had his breakfast, and went away. Not many poor people spend the night with the neighbours now-a-days in this district, because we live not far from two "poor"
