   was called the Barrymore estate. Bury Barry lived in Ballyclough House in the parish of Glanworth, Co. Cork. He was supposed to be fairly just because all the tenants presented an address to his son on his coming of age and some of them went to the house.

   Kingston of Michelstown, Co. Cork was a great landlord but he was a cruel tyrant. He had an ash tree outside his hall door for the purpose of hanging the people. When he died he willed to be buried with the Catholics. He was. Next day the Catholic graveyard was changed to outside the graveyard wall and he was left as he was. He was not long buried when the ash tree he used for hanging the people grew over his grave.
