  1. A belief existed, locally, some years ago, more particularly among farming classes that their neighbours, by some magic or other, had power to take from them a share of their milk or butter for the year. The following story is told:-
    A Farmer had nine cows one particular year. he noticed that they gave little yield of butter from the milk they produced.
