    wool was put into the, ear and left there for a few days. Olive oil heated on a tea-spoon, and put into the aching ear cured it in about a day.
    Holy wells were visited to obtain relief from certain ailments. St. Laughteens well in Grenagh was visited to obtain relief from rheumatism. Other ailments were also cured.
    To cure worms in children, Sweet Bisom was gathered, boiled, and strained. The remaining water was drunk by the child, it was said the child was cured in about a week. A cupful every morning before breakfast was the usual dose.
    The remedy for a sore throat was, to put the stocking worn by the sick person that day around the throat by night.
    Whooping cough it is said would be cured by walking under a donkey three times, or by drinking her milk.
    Whitlows were cured by putting a poultice of boiling water and bread
