   was where the master ate his meals. The pupil's sat on wooden benche's ranged round the wall's. The writing material's were slate's and quill pen's, but, some of the pupil's did not write atall. The subjects taught were history, reading and writing in Irish. The most used language was Irish.

   About sixty year's ago, a man named Mr Butler held an old school in COrk-Road Killeagh. He was a very intelligent man and he taught all subjects in his school. There (was) were (of about of) an average of about thirty children going to his school and they were all boys.
