    The local marriages generally take place during Shrove, but lately that custom seems to be dying out and more people get married in June that in Shrove.
    The following are some of the marriage rhymes we have:-
    "Monday for health"
    "Tuesday for wealth"
    "Wednesday the best day of all"
    "Thursday for crosses"
    "Friday for losses"
    "Saturday no luck at all"
    The following are the rhymes about the colours to wear on your dress.
    "Blue to be always true"
