   There was a man cutting down trees in a fort near Shanagolden and he was cutting the trees a small man came forth and told him to stop. The man said he would if he liked. "You will" said the little man "if I bring my crowd around you."

3. Stories - Poll an Eas

   

   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   Poll an Eas is a waterfall near Glin. There is the shape of a coffin, a pot, a horse-shoe, a horse's hoof and a donkey hoof made by the action of the water. It is said that long ago there was a skin fold of gold burried there and that the river was crossed three times before being burried. When the old people tried to get it the river overflowed its banks to a considerable extent and formed a waterfall.
