  1. (continued from previous page)
She told him to come into the parlour. He said no that he would wait in the kitchen. He took out his prayer book and started reading. The minister came after about an hour and asked him why didn't he go into the parlour. He said he could not stir that the devil was in the house. I will give you any money if you hunt him said the minister. Tadhg took out his prayer book and started reading and then got some of the straw and lit it and sat fire to the whole lot. The man that was under it ran out the door mad and the minister gave Tadhg a big bag of money and he came home to his wife and family and they lived comfortable for for ever more.
