  2. Kileenagh well is the only holy well I have ever visited. It is situated in the townland of Dromtrasna in the parish of Abbeyfeale. It is of a circular shape and all round it there are tall trees growing. It is said to have been dedicated to the blessed Virgin.
    Every year people form the surrounding districts visit this well. Every Saturday in May they may be seen going on all sorts of vehicles to this well to honour the Blessed Virgin. They generally take a relic and put it near the well such as a holy picture, a statute and sometimes a hair-pin or a rag. While walking round the well each
