- In the olden days, the people used many homes remedies for curing illness. Those remedies or cures were mainly got from certain herbs. Some families had a knowledge of those cures, and the prescriptions were usually kept secret, and passed on, from one generation to another.
Many of those remedies are used to this day, for slight illness like tooth ache, ear ache, and Winter coughs, and they are found to be most effective. For instance a boiled turnip used as a poultice quickly(continues on next page)- Collector
