- A great hurler lived between this parish and Feenagh. His name was Frank Noonan. He lived about 50 years ago. His team won the championship of the world. A great sickness was raging the parish called Fever. A lot of the hurlers got the fever and died. Frank went to the funeral on horse-back and when he was coming home, he fell off his horse, and broke his neck. It was said that the hurlers who were dead, came for him.
