  1. Fire is very dangerous because it destroyes both people and property.
    There was a great fire in Dromcollogher in the year 1926. It was known as the Cinema Disaster. There were 48 lives lost and some more were wounded and died a short time after in Hospital.
    The man who was carring out the pictures had a candle in his hand. Some person threw something at the candle and knocked it, and the candle set fire to the films.
    The sergeant caught the films and threw them down the stairs, and the stairs caught fire.
    A lot of people rushed out the window.
