   In conclusion the messenger wrote.
   This watch dear readers, was not sick.
   But for instance lost its tick.
   Its brain was addled and confused.
   Because it was a bit abused.
   With Irish, Greenwich, German time.
   The ticker just forgot its chime.
   In shame, despondency, disgrace.
   Behind its hands it hid its face.
   For one short month it was insane.
   But now it is all right again.
   And tallies with the orb above.
   On every tick and every move.
   And may it have a sweet career.
