    The Abbey was built in the year 1427 AD. the Franciscans occupied it then but now it is used as a graveyard. They say the Abbey was built in one night.
    Thee is also the ruin of an old castle situated in Mr Bridgemans land. There is an underground passage connecting it and the Abbey.

  2. There are two old ruins in Lismakeera, an old castle and an old church. The danes lived in the castle long ago. It is three storey in height. It is situated south of Askeaton.
