- In the grounds of the old Protestant church (which formerly belonged to the Catholics) stands a belfry said to be the oldest stone wall building in Ireland. It belonged to the Knights Templars. In the Catholic graveyard which surrounds the Protestant Church Aubrey de Vere is buried.
