    around it to protect it from ill-use.
    Cartown well is in the parish of Pallaskenry. There is a railing around it and there is a box there into which people put offerings when they go to do rounds. The water from this well is a special cure for sore eyes. it is also called Saint Brigids well.
    There is a Holy well in Stonehall in the townland of Kilbreedy. It is in Mr. Millers land. Some people who were cured there while doing rounds left crutches after them.
