  1. Local Happenings.
    One of the things that happened in the district which caused a great surprise to the neighbourhood was when the left bank of the river Maigue was carrried away with the tide, about three weeks ago. One night without rain or storm there was a high spring tide and it swept the bank away and ever since there are bits of the bank being carried away and there is a break of about one hundred and fifty yards in the bank.

  2. Not very far from Kildimo village there is a college owned by the Salesian Fathers.
    About twelve months ago a student from this college was drowned in Dromore lake. He and some other students were bathing in a dangerous
