- The Red Cellar
There is a cave in Lough Gur called "The Red Cellar." When Cromwell was in Ireland killing all the people they used to hide under the ground. One day his soldiers were in Lough Gur. The people were hiding in the cave and a woman was knitting at the mouth of the cave. She saw the soldiers. She ran in and left the thread reel after her. The soldiers found it and followed in along. They found the people and killed them all.
