    Tobacco my curse,
    And if worse yourself and the auld pipe
    From smoking and chewing,
    I'm drawn as thin as a snipe
    I fear when I see her,
    Ill freeze her being withered and cold
    And I'll coaxe her my best,
    'Till I'm blessed to make bold,
    That I may see the day,
    When I may.
    Without asking her lafe
    Drink a piggin of tae or of whae,
    To her health sure so brave
    I'll make her to take me or make me her bride or her beau.
    And the joke she don't take it, to Bedlam I'll go,
    Now if you please,
    I'll praise this fair damsel of mine
    Her face it is large like a barge,
    And her neck small and then
    Her bosom so straight as a plate
