  2. Jerry Hayes we are told had no son so one of his daughters succeeded him as landlord of the property of Killuragh who still owned it at the time it was purchased by the tenants. Miss Hayes was strong and brave like her father and was beloved by her tenants just as he was. There is a story told of how she won her husband. She was walking one
