The owner of the lands of Kylebeg, a man named Shanahan, cut down the bush for firewood and when it was put into the fire it failed to burn and it had to be taken out into the yard where it was seen by passers-by even by some who are alive to-day.
There is a flat stone on the edge of a fort on the lands of Daniel Clery a few hundred yards away from the well, with the mark of two knees. This is supposed to be the place where St. Pussaún prayed. The knee-marks nearly always contain water except in very dry weather because it is covered in with brambles. People used to come to this spot to get cured of warts and sore eyes.
