    except his clothes. They came tumbling the stairs and the man got the whip again and flailed them up. Then the ghost disappeared. Three nights after he came again and told the man that he would never come to the castle again and that the man was not to either.
    The man got a thousand for his reward. At one he was the poorest in the parish but then he was richer than the king himself.
