- In the townland of Kilrea there is a hill called Knocknagon. There is a light supposed to be seen around there every night.
One night a man was coming home from rambling. He was after coming down the hill and was crossing a field when suddenly he saw a light. It ran along until it came to a gap in the field and it stopped there.
Then a drove of cattle came out the gap and went on until they came to a pond nearby. Then they went in there and disappeared. - In the parish of Kilruane there is a townland called Beechwood. There is a house there called Beachwood House. Long ago in was owned by a lady named Lady Osborne.One time she issued an order that a fire should be lighted in her garden every night. A man went in one night to light the fire. When he came out he noticed that the gate was not the same as left it. When he closed it someone opened it again.(continues on next page)
