    was supposed never to wear. They did not know where the ball had gone to. In the field where they lost it there was a big rock. From the time they lost the ball there was always a magpie standing on the rock. They suspected the ball was gone in under it. Ten of the men proposed to meet some day and turn the rock over. They stayed pushing at the rock with bars until they turned it over. Their fame as strong men was spread throughout the whole parish.
