    At the present day we have doctors who attend us at time of sickness.

    nettles was a cure for rheumatism, a cockle leaf a cure for a burn. a dock leaf a cure for a sting and turf a cure for asthma.
    Some people had great belief in going to holy wells and there was several people cured by St. Conlon's well in Youghalara, St. Patrick's well near Ballywilliam, St. Oran's well in Latteragh and St. John's well in Brookwatson.
