  1. There is a noted Blessed Well in this parish. It is situated in the townland of Latracha Odhrain. This Well is supposed to have been there since the monks were in Latteragh over a thousand years ago. People pay a visit to the well every year on the 15th of August. Persons suffering from sore eyes visit this well and bathe their eyes with the water. An eel is supposed to appear to the person who is cured. It is said that the water in it cannot be boiled. On the 15th of August 1934 I went to the well of Latteragh. There was a large number of people there praying around the well.
