  1. There is a holy well in Latteragh, in a field belonging to Mike Shanahan in the townland of Glenmore. On the 15th of August every year crowds of people go to this well and each person takes a cup to drink the water. There are flat stones all around the well and each person has to kneel on these stones and say a prayer. You have to keep going around for three turns and drink three sups of water each time.
People get cured of sore eyes in this well. People throw in coppers and medals and crosses in to it.
There are three humps side by side under a blackthorn bush and it is said that three Saints sat on these humps one time or another, theses are right beside the well, there is a stream running out of the blessed well it is a spring. There is an eel supposed to be seen in the blessed well at times and any person that sees it will be cured of any disease he may have at the time.
