    You farmers and freeholders and countrymen of mine, ¶ Come rally round till I relate the scenery we have seen

    And for the road we did proceed with many a cheer and joke .
    Right down through Ballinamoe we came we viewed each plain an d lawn .
    Until we arrived in proper time at Cramp's of Danganbawn.
    The horsepower it was planted and the members were all there
    The table was erected and the spindle put in gear ,
    The driver was on the seat and ready for to go.
    It was our delight to get a pint of Cassidy and Co.
    The man who get's Hogan's thresher and fit for market day
    And he is sure to get the highest price at the malthouse of Roscrea
