  1. On the townland of Kilrush are the foundations of a church site but no more bones have been ploughed up in the field where the church is supposed to have been and on the word of medical men they have been pronounced as human bones.

  2. Of the church of Brittas demense the west end is gone but all the rest remains. The masonry consists of large rough unhewn stones. The east window is sing light with circular heada cut out of the stone.
    Knowx bought Brittas from Langley's about 1852 and did some evicting, sold castle stones and a lot of timber.
