- (continued from previous page)Thunder Storm:- There was a terrible thunder and lightning storm in the year 1898 in the month of August. It killed a mare belonging to Mr Hynes, Mohober, Mullinahone, Co Tipperary. The thunder and lightning began in the evening at about eight o'clock and it continued for the most part of the night.
______________________________Snow Storm:- There was a heavy snow storm in the year 1917 in the month of April. It came after a snow fall which lasted the most part of the winter. When the people were burying the dead they had to bring the coffins up on their shoulders to the graveyard in Modeshill. It killed many old people as the wind was strong and cold.
