- We have no churn at home. The churn I saw was only about two or three feet long. It was about two feet in diameter. It was on a stand. Seperated cream was put into the churn and in about ten minutes it was churned. Water was put in during the process. Butter pats were used to take it out. When the butter is taken out scalding water is put into the churn and it is cleaned.
