- There are usually a lot of butchers at fairs. When a man makes a bargain he bangs his fist into the buyers hand. Cars line the side of the road. People put rails up outside their houses so that their windows will not be broken. Sometimes, men go out early and when they are coming with cows other men buy them instead of going to the fair. The fair starts at 6o'clock. If police see stray cows they put them in pounds. Sometimes they slip and break their legs.
Sometimes when farmers are selling cows they give some extra money and it is called luck money. Some people dye their initials on cows and some people slit the cows ears. I once saw cows with wire(continues on next page)- Collector
