    said to be very airy. One night a funeral was seen coming out of the gate of the field and going so far as the Ball-alley went off out the mountain.
    It was also said that a man was cutting thistles there one day, and he lighted a fire near the fort. Placing a can of water near the fire, he continued his work. When he came back to the fire it was quenched and the can was turned upside down about a hundred yards away from the fire.
