a blackbird is frightened out of a hedge it flies out making a loud noise in order to warn all the other birds that danger is coming. The wren is a very small bird but yet is is the "king". It builds its nest in a hedge but the opening is at the side. in December men and boys go around gathering money for the wren.
The swallow only comes to us in summer. It builds its nest under the eve of a house. If the swallows fly low on a summers day we are sure to have rain.
