- (continued from previous page)coming into Cashel by the "Green" where he met a foxy woman bringing a pail of water from the well on this same Green. He asked for a drink of water, and she refused him. Immediately the well became polluted, stagnant, and discoloured, and from that day to this remained in the same condition and is used only to give animals a drink. On that same occasion he visited the Rock of Cashel and among the other duties which he performed there and among the other converts he was baptising, through mistake, he pierced the converts foot, and finding he had no water he performed a miracle by his saintly powers and a spring well sprung up at his feet, and is there still on the top of the Rock of Cashel. It is stated by those who always had a close connection with the old Rock that there is a cure for several things in the water.
