Whooping Cough. Long ago it was a supposed fact, that what ever the first man would say riding on a grey horse in the morning would be the cure for it.
Head-ache. Bathe the temples with hot vinegar, or pour cold water on the head, or tie the band of brac Baizoe around the head.
Foot-ache - Hold a spoonfull of whiskey or a pinch of bread soda in the mouth.
Corns. Pare the corn to the heart of it and rub washing soda to it.
Heartburn. Half a tea spoon of bread soda in a cup of hot water.
Jaundice. Stay in bed and live on milk diet.
Rheumatism. To eat brown sugar and sulpher or iodine in an egg cup of new milk.
