    The houses are both thatched and slated, but most of them are two storey high and are slated.
    The land is hilly and boggy and there is not much good land in it.
    It is in Ballydrehid the Aherlow gives the Suir. On a rock in the middle of the Suir "Fíaca Maol Teacain" was born and he was afterwards drowned in the Suir while bathing.
    There is a Lacken at the foot of the Galtees in Ballydrehid and there is supposed to be no bottom to it and it supplies water to the townland.
