    used by the smith:- Anvil, sledge-hammer, pincers, rasp, file, tongs vice,
    punches and chisels, which are made by the smith himself.
    The smith shoes horses and asses, but cattle are never shod. He used to make all farm implements long ago but he does not now because they can be had in the shops. The smith always made ploughs, grubbers, harrows with frame work of timber, forks and spades, gates and cranes were also made by the smiths.
    The smiths work now consists of shoeing horses and asses and banding wheels of cars and mending other farm implements when broken i.e. machines, ploughs etc.
    Wheel banding is the only work done by the smith in the open air.
