  1. In 1839 there was a great storm and the steeple of the Protestant Church was knocked. A woman named Mrs Mc Carthy was walking out of the Church a branch hit her in the eye. The trees were blown down. In 1892 there was a great snow storm the snow was in drifts it was six feet high. In 1884 it was an exceedingly dry year.
